If a victim is in immediate danger, call 911.
If a victim is not in immediate danger, he/she should take urgent action by visiting the Boone County Circuit Court Clerk, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, 1st floor of the Boone County Justice Center, to file for a protective order. For after-hours non-emergencies, victims should call law enforcement immediately.
For additional information and assistance, victims may visit the County Attorney Resource & Education (“CARE”) Center.
